Ohioans’ Perceptions of Artificial Intelligence (OPAI) Survey

The Ohioans’ Perceptions of Artificial Intelligence (OPAI) Survey examined how adults residing in Ohio understand, use, trust, and evaluate artificial intelligence technologies. Conducted through the American Population Panel (APP), the survey explored public knowledge of AI, patterns of AI use, perceptions of safety and trustworthiness, concerns about societal impacts, preferences for regulation and oversight, and expectations regarding the future role of AI in American society. The study provides researchers with a snapshot of public attitudes toward one of the most rapidly evolving technologies of the twenty-first century.
